Description of the main tasks to be carried out

1. Environmental Management Tasks
The Environmental Management complies with the provisions of the Atmospheric Emissions Authorization AEA/Al/42/15 for the monitoring, follow-up and control of environmental protection measures, as well as the following tasks:
General:
• Monitor compliance with the application of the preventive and corrective measures established in the AEA, as well as those that have not been modified by the previous Environmental Impact Study and Declaration of the commercial wharf of Garrucha from 1995.
• Prepare proposals that complement said measures in cases where their application is not fully achieving the expected effects.
• Monitor the development of the action in order to detect impacts not assessed a priori, which must be corrected subsequently.
• Design the appropriate corrective measures responsible for avoiding, minimizing and/or correcting effects not detected a priori.
• Draft periodic monthly reports on compliance with the provisions of the AEA, as well as verification of its compliance or non-compliance.
• Draft annual reports that include the environmental incidents of the operation, as well as the corrective measures taken and, if any, the preventive measures taken, including the documentation generated or evidencing their treatment.
• Preparation of possible communications to the different stakeholders of the wharf as well as to the Territorial Delegation itself.
• Verification of compliance with the AEA and the 1995 Environmental Impact Declaration and on-site collection of the information necessary for issuing the monthly report of the different parties involved in bulk handling; for this purpose, the person in charge of Environmental Management is obliged to make 2 visits per month to the port of Garrucha. Each visit has a duration equivalent to a full working day.
Specific:
• Review, update and communication, to the different agents involved in bulk handling at the commercial wharf of Garrucha, of the Operating Rules.
• Review and formulation, if necessary, of the inspection sheets to be completed by the stevedoring company regarding the functions and responsibilities derived from the application of the AEA conditions that fall within the scope of its operations. Control of the records issued for inclusion in the monthly monitoring reports.
• Verification of the implementation of the stevedoring company's procedures derived from compliance with the AEA. Recording of deviations, keeping graphic evidence of possible non-compliances.
• Reports regarding the monitoring of works carried out on the wharf that could affect the conditions established in the applicable environmental conditions.
• Liaison with the ECCA or contracted accredited testing laboratory. Verification of the correct execution of the continuous and external control established in the AEA.
• Coordination in the reception of documents and records for the preparation and issuance of monthly reports to comply with the monitoring and control actions established in the AEA.
• In the event of incidents during the calendar year, Alvéncia issues a summary report of the environmental incidents detected in that period during the operation of the commercial wharf of Garrucha, including corrective and preventive measures taken, as well as evidence of how they were handled.
2. Advice on port environmental issues
Alvéncia provides technical assistance on any environmental aspect related to atmospheric emissions, waste, discharges, processing of authorizations and others that may affect or impact the different activities carried out throughout the port facility, regardless of whether or not they are related to bulk handling. If necessary, Alvéncia issues a report.

3. Analysis of requirements from the body with environmental competences and accompaniment
Alvéncia, at the request of the Area Manager or the Contract Manager, analyzes the possible requirements of the body with environmental competences in order to respond to what is requested.
If necessary, Alvéncia is available to the Area Manager or the Contract Manager to hold virtual or in-person meetings with said body aimed at resolving incidents related to atmospheric emissions, waste and discharges, as well as processing authorizations related to the activity at the commercial wharf of Garrucha.
